My nieces and nephews will be the death of me

My niece Brittany was in a car accident. She's okay. In fact, she was about to go home when I talked to her a few minutes ago. Pretty much the same situation as Taylor, from the info I have - - she was in the car with friends, the driver was going too fast, went around a corner and lost control, hit a utility pole and flipped the SUV, and everyone was thrown out. And alcohol may have been involved. Thankfully, no fatalities this time. Brittany did something to one of the vertabrae(vertabra?) in her neck - - it should heal fine, they said - - they had to sew the tip of one ear back together, and she was bruised badly. It could've been much worse.

God help me when Brett, my niece Taylor, Jaci, Elizabeth and Eve become teenagers.

Oh my gosh! *hugs you* Thank goodness she's all right. Man...my niece is only 1 but I can already feel the grey hairs popping out at the thought of her getting in a car with anyone, ever.

It's really scary when they become teenagers. And for this to happen after the scare with Taylor... *shudder*

Thank heavens she was not hurt worse. I have teenagers so I know what it's like to be constantly worrying about them.

I know - - I really worry about Brittany and Taylor especially. Even if they act responsibly(and they don't, always), I still have to worry about the ones they're with.

Having been in that situation when I was younger and not getting the proper advice then, I'll give it to you to pass on now: have her get MSM creme (Jointflex is pretty much carried everywhere) and apply it three times a day to her neck. If she doesn't - within ten years time she'll have arthritis and contracted ligaments there and it will be no fun at all.

That said, I hope your nerve's and the kids' driving improves. *hugs*

Thanks, sweetie, I'll tell her. Arthritis is definitely *not* good.

If I can make it through these teenage years, and they mature faster than their dad, maybe it'll be okay.

Finally saw this ... so glad your niece is okay. Scary, scary. *hugs you*

Thanks, sweetie. It is very scary. I told Brittany the same thing I told Taylor - - she is not allowed to scare me like that again.

I'm glad she'll be ultimately okay, but sweetie, it's time to start stocking up on bus passes for your relatives!
