Today's good thing

Today's good thing: well. It was a long day. I went by my uncle's house and packed some clothes for him and headed to the hospital. They decided to keep him one more day. He will definitely be going to the rehab place tomorrow. His brother will be taking him for us.

Then I came to the Walmart here. For anyone keeping score, it has been 5 weeks and 4 days since their self checkout stole $121.89 from me. It's been 5 weeks and 2 days since I first went to them about this, and 5 weeks and 3 days since Maci pissed me off. It's been 5 weeks since my store manager called their store manager about this, and they told him give them 7-10 days to put the money back in my account. I was very generous and waited longer than that. I went by on the 28th of October and talked to the store manager myself, and showed him where the double charges had cleared my card site and bank site. I left a copy of my receipt with him and he promised someone would be in touch by November 1st. Pam, the front end coach, did call me on Friday and I went over the whole thing with her, and she said she would call Monday with an update. She did, and they COULDN'T FIND THE DOUBLE TRANSACTION IN THEIR SYSTEM. So she asked me to come by today and get cash, because it wasn't going to reverse. I waited over an hour for her. Apparently someone shoplifted and she had to deal with that, then something in the cash office, then someone called her to softlines. An hour and 20 minutes after I got there, she sent a CSM with my money. I see now why people say they would rather come to the Baxley store than go to the one here. I will never shop there again. They need to work on their customer service. When Maci first talked to me, she didn't know I worked for Walmart. Does she act that way with all customers? And I can't believe anyone at our store would make someone they owed money wait over an hour, no matter what was going on.
