Today's good thing

Today's good thing: I got up way too early - - a little after 5, due to a certain cat(Jem!) jumping on and off the bed, and as I posted earlier, an 11 pound cat... makes an impact. So, I got up, fed the babies, did two loads of laundry(because J and I were busy all week and it's piled up), did my internet reading and managed a nap before I got dressed to go to my uncle's.

When I got home, I was going to work in the yard, but it was literally too hot to just sit on the porch. So I stayed inside and relaxed and later did some dishes and yet another load of laundry. I finally got outside close to 6, when it looked like it might storm and cooled off a little(it never did rain). I was sitting on the porch reading when an ambulance showed up next door - - on the corner at the 4 way stop. The two attendants tried two doors and finally got an answer at the third one. Then the male attendant came and asked me if I'd seen a guy walking near the house. I told him no, and a few minutes later, they left. Then the younger chick next door went outside and yelled "Patrick! If you don't come out, I'm going to call the police and they'll get the ambulance to come back!" It worked, as he did come back, from somewhere behind the house. They argued, went inside for a while, came back out and drove away for a few minutes, then came back. Can't we just have good neighbors? A nice quiet, older couple, maybe, instead of a house full of loud, barking-dog-having, paintball shooting at all hours, possible meth heads next door?
