Rough day here

I read everyone's comments, and will respond soon, but my right arm is killing me, so probably not tonight.

I woke up at 2am this morning, feeling sick, my stomach *burning*, and my back hurting. I had to get up at 2:30 anyway, so I went ahead and got up. I started to feel better and was going back to bed after J left, but I couldn't go to sleep, so I sat up until 7 and then went back to bed for a few hours. When I got back up, same thing, my back just killing me and my stomach still bothering me. I lay on the couch until around 2pm, and finally had lunch then.

I had a good cry when J go home, and felt better afterward, but I'm still scared. I hate it when I'm sick and don't know what the problem is. J wants me to go back to the doctor, but I told him I would wait to see about my test results. I have a high threshold for pain, and the fact that I was actually hurting is scary.

You guys pray for me.

You guys pray for me.

Always, Maddie.

Your mother is so lucky to have such a patient devoted daughter. Maybe you don't feel like you are patient some days, but you are from where I'm standing.

Thank, Ruth. You made me cry, in a really good way, when I read this. I don't know what I'd do without all of you.

oh sweetie, i'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. You are always in my prayers.

Thanks! I'm better tonight. I've had something else to eat, and I'm feeling okay. I'm on an anti-inflammatory med, and Mom keeps offering me a muscle relaxer, too.

Get your butt to the doctor - NOW. Please, don't wait for the test results when you're in intermittent pain like this. High thresholds for pain can mask sinple or complicated things. You know you have my prayers...

You sound like J! Thanks, sweetie. Dr Bird's already told me the next step will be an MRI, but I do want to find out about the chest x-ray and bloodwork first. If it gets too bad, I'm about a mile from a hospital.

Thanks. I'll probablt gat an appointment for Wednesday - - that's the day my doctor's in. I should have my test results back by then, too. I'm feeling better today.

Poor thing. I hope you feel better soon. That sounds like what my grandmother went through when she had gall bladder attacks.
1st-Sep-2006 02:02 am (UTC)
It is very similar to what I've heard about gallbladder attacks - - but I had mine out last year. J thinks it's an ulcer, as far as the stomach pain is concerned. I'll just feel better when I know the reason - - not knowing is awful.

Easy for me to say, I know, but try not to worry. It could just be surgical adhesions. My own break loose a few months to a year after I have surgery and damn, but they hurt. Mimics the pain of the original pre-surgery condition (in my case, an emergency appendectomy and an ovarectomy).
2nd-Sep-2006 10:50 am (UTC)
Ooh, I didn't even know that could happen. Ouch!
1st-Sep-2006 03:57 am (UTC)
Pray, keep my fingers crossed, whatever helps, Maddie. And you're always in my thoughts and prayers. *Huge, careful hugs*
2nd-Sep-2006 10:49 am (UTC)
Thanks, sweetie - - and right back at you!
1st-Sep-2006 05:40 am (UTC)
Oh sweetie *hugsyou*. Feel better soon. You and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers. They're lucky to have you, and so are we.
2nd-Sep-2006 10:48 am (UTC)
Aww, you're so sweet! Thanks.
1st-Sep-2006 07:30 am (UTC)
Praying like mad, sweetie.

And GO TO A DOCTOR. RIGHT NOW. PAIN NOW MEANS SOMETHING IS WRONG NOW.

Sorry for the caps lock, I just think it's a point that needed to be made/
2nd-Sep-2006 10:46 am (UTC)
Thanks, Jean. My test results will be back Tuesday and I'll probably get an appointment for Wednesday - - my doctor is only there on Wednesday.

Like I just told Andi, I'm a couple of days behind on my flist. Hopefully by the time you read this you'll be feeling better and won't be needing my good wishes and my prayers, but just know that you have them anyway. *blows kisses in lieu of giving hugs*

Thanks, Karen, I am feeling much better today - - no pain at all today.
