Today's good thing

Today's good thing: despite Squeaky and I going back to bed after J left for work, I accomplished stuff! I cleaned and vacuumed, did dishes and laundry, changed the sheets and gave a cat a bath. She's still mad. She's napping in J's chair and glares at me when I try and engage her in conversation.

"and glares at me when I try and engage her in conversation" made me snicker. Cats, gotta love them. Did Squeaky *need* a bath or did you just feel like torturing her? I don't believe I have ever washed Fiona but she and Hamish are indoor only cats. The late great Duncan would get washed periodically but that was because his fur would get coarse and just not feel good to me and a nice shampoo lather and rinse would make him adorably soft for several weeks at a minimum.

She gets a bath for several reasons, one being we use a flea shampoo, because she enjoys sitting at the front door observing the outside cats, and we track fleas in from outside. One is because she likes to roll around on the kitchen floor, which is linoleum. And finally, she's white and starts to look a bit... dingy. Rose(used to be Rosybug on here) says she never bathes her cats, and they're outdoor/indoor cats.

All of those sound like really good reasons to me. I'm terribly allergic to flea bites, which is one reason why I'm so paranoid about letting our kitties go outside. In Squeaky's case, she's such a pretty kitty she deserves to look white and wonderful.
