Arthritis is everywhere. There's a heel spur, and a couple of other spurs. I have tendonitis, a possibly torn tendon, and an old, small fracture that I didn't know about. He thinks my foot has literally been messed up since before I was born, that maybe in the womb it actually got a bit misshapen, since it tends to turn inward. Like a mild version of clubfoot.
So, from right below the knee to right above my toes, I'm wrapped in in several layers, and have to wear a boot as much as possible. At the end of the day I was thinking I would be better off just dealing with my f'd up foot. The boot hitting against the front of my leg has it sore, the widest part of my foot hurts on the side, I have a spot that itches, and taking a shower is going to be interesting.
I go back in two weeks to get it checked. Until then, I'm supposed to try and keep the wrap on as long as possible, wear the boot as much as possible, stay off my foot as much as possible, take steroids for 12 days, then start meloxicam.
