No funny or annoying customer story today, but I do have two observations.

One is that whenever I do section work on the feminine pad aisle, all the customers seem to magically get their period.

And two, an amazing number of customers would rather pay like $1.47 for a tiny container of "real" Vaseline, instead of paying $1.97 for a huge container of Equate Vaseline. Do they think it will go bad? That they'll never use it all? Can't afford the fifty cents more?

Or, it's "No, I need real Vaseline, Equate's not as good." It's all petroleum jelly!

I never understand why people want name brands! Doris tells her patients over and over again to get the generic drug and not the name brand, but some simply won't do it.

I agree that on most things, brand names doesn't make much difference, but I had a couple of elderly bed-bound clients for whom I had to rub vaseline on their hands and feet, and I could always tell if I had name brand vaseline vs. generic, and the name brand did a better job. It went further, coated better, and didn't become as 'liquidy'. Don't know what the difference is, but there was a difference. *shrugs*

Interesting. Maybe they know what they're doing. I prefer the creamy kind, especially in winter, when my skin is extra dry.
